EPODEX - PU Resin Topcoat Glossy
The PU resin (A-component) is mixed with the PU hardener (B-component). Both components together form the polyurethane resin system.
Application instructions
- The substrate must be sound, clean, dry and free from substances that reduce adhesion. We recommend sanding the substrate for better adhesion.
- Mix the resin A-component and the hardener B-component in a mixing ratio of 2:1 (e.g. 1kg resin A-component with 0,5kg hardener B-component).
- Also stir the rim and bottom of the mixing cup thoroughly, as material settles there. Ideally pour into a clean cup and remix until the mixture is streak-free. This ensures that both components are fully mixed together.
- Pour the mixture into a paint tray and apply it thinly with a roller in a cross pattern.
- Allow the first coat to cure and then apply the second coat in the same way. We recommend applying the second coat no earlier than 6h and no later than 20h.
- Do not wear shoes with rubber soles while sanding, cleaning, after cleaning or when applying the 2K PU topcoat, as micro-particles from the rubber can cause an uneven finish. Shoes with rubber soles may be worn once the second coat has fully cured. Wait to apply the second coat until the first is walkable (approx. 12 hours).
